Upon ordering it can take approximately 2 weeks for the windows to be manufactured. From then we can mutually agree on a date for fitting that suits you best. Fitting times can vary depending on size and quantity.

Yes! We have various catalogs in which you can browse to find your perfect design, from traditional style PVC windows to modern and contemporary composite doors.

Can you just get replacement glass instead of doing the full window and new frame?

Yes we provide replacement glass units and a personal visit would be required to check it fits requirements and fits exact to size.

About window & door glazing FAQs

What's the difference between double and triple glazed glass?

Double glazing includes 2 panes of glass with a cavity in between and an overall thickness of 28mm. Triple glazing however has 3 panes of glass with 2 cavities creating an overall thickness of 44mm. Both contain argon gas which provides high thermal efficiency.

What is a composite door and what is the difference to a PVC door?

A composite door is a modern take on a long-established timber model door. It still offers either a modern or traditional look, however by using a number of different materials it improves overall performance and sustainability. A PVC door is purely made from plastic but is more affordable compared to a composite door.

How often should you replace your windows?

This is personal to your house and current windows. If your windows are still up to good condition, age doesn't necessarily matter. Old windows may become dated and you may want something to modernise your home. A main reason for replacing windows is when they become faulty. I would recommend if you start to see faults you arrange a home visit and see what the best outcome is for you.

Possible faults indicating a replacement include:
- Steamed up units that are out of guarantee
- Faulty hinges and handles stopping you from opening and shutting a sash
- Locking mechanisms start rusting
- Windows starting to cause drafts

Will double glazing reduce noise levels?

If you can hear outside surrounding noise at a high volume despite your windows being shut, this is usually because they are very old and need replacing. Double glazing will reduce noise due to the glass thickness and cavity. Another option is triple glazing, which would reduce even further due to the fact there are 2 cavities in between the windows. We also provide acoustic double glazing which has 2 varied glass thickness sizes of 6mm and 4mm on either side of the cavity.

Will double glazing add value to my house?

Yes! Double glazing is a popular requirement to many house buyers. When fitted to a high standard it adds security to the house. Having double glazed windows and doors with our guarantee will add to the home’s value, alongside great looks and design!

Why do I get condensation on my windows and will double glazing help prevent this?

Condensation occurs due to the atmospheric of the house. Water vapour in the air settles itself on surfaces of a lower temperature, in this case, the surface is your window. You must keep a good ventilation system in order to prevent this from happening. By fitting our energy rated double glazing windows, it will reduce the amount of condensation forming due to our products retaining more internal heat and reducing the ‘cold surface’.
